Survey on Chamber Ensembles in Rehearsal

I would like to invite you to take part in a new study of chamber musicians in rehearsal.

To participate, please follow the link below:

Chamber Musicians in Rehearsal Survey

About this research

Working in groups is a common experience for musicians, yet previous research tells us that successful collaboration does not always naturally arise. Some groups work well, whilst others fail to achieve their potential.  The question of how musical groups form and develop their ways of working is at the heart of this research, which is investigating ways of working of student, amateur and professional chamber musicians in collaborative rehearsals.

This study is being conducted as part of a PhD research project, within the research group on Expressive Ensemble Communication funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, and run by the Universities of Sheffield, York and Leeds.

About the survey

The survey takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. All the responses are anonymous and results are confidential. There are questions on musical background, experiences as a member of an ensemble, and what happens in rehearsals.
